Helen Taylor

Helen Taylor, 77, of Equality passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 7 a.m.

She was born on August 28, 1938 in Delphia, Ky., the daughter of the late Joe and Mallie (Holbrook) Williams. She married Jim Taylor on the 21st of September, 1956 and he preceded in her death last year on December 18, 2015.

Helen is survived by her three daughters, Brenda Newman of Ridgway, Linda Woods of Equality, Pamela Hise of Raleigh; and one son, Jimmy Taylor also of Equality. Also survived by three sisters, Gracie

Browning, Dorothy Lewis, Ruth Proffit; four brothers, Jimmy, Rufus, Willie and Otis Williams; six grandchildren, Erik and Missy Burtis, Jeremy and Tina Burtis, Isreal and Christine Burtis, Terisha and Matthew Wilson, Hillary and Wyatt Yates, and Jade Hise; twelve great grandchildren, Josh, Braden, Alexa, Carson, Claire, Isacc, Ezra, Oliver, Burke, Brooks, Mallie-Kate, Amelia; one great great grandchild, Johviii.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one grandson, Josh Woods; one sister, Earthie Turner; four brothers, Revis, Coolie, Elmer, and Eddie Williams.

Visitation for Helen will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 11 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality. The Rev. Marshall Glover will be officiating the service with burial at the Elmwood Cemetery near Equality.
