Dale E. Newstrom

Dale E. Newstrom was born July 10, 1951 in Belleville, IL. His mother's name is Hildegard, father is Evans, Sister-Linda Wilshire, Brother-in-law-Jim, Nieces are Kelly and Heather, nephew is Ryan Dale's daughters name is Nicole. His best friend is Paul Staffey. Dale served in the Army during the Viet Nam era.

Got a Bachelors degree from SIU Carbondale in Industrial Technology. Operated a heating, air conditioning and refrigeration business in Carterville for about 10 years. His passion was barbeque. He loved to experiment with unique spices and flavor prints. He and Vicki were involved in competition BBQ in the late 1980s until 2004 when they became contest representatives for Kansas City BBQ Society.

He and Vicki had a ceremony before friends and family in August 2000 and renew their vows in October 2014 at the First Baptist Church in North Florida. They moved to Florida in October 2012. Dale was born again March 23, 2013 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Port. He was saved when a member of the First Baptist Church came to the door and asked him if he knew if he was going to heaven.

They talked for hours. After becoming a member of the church Dale also went out to spread the word. Dale Passed away February 4, 2016 at the Bill Young VA Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL.

Graveside services will be Monday April 25, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Durham Cemetery Galatia. Rev. Kevin Peyton will officiate.
