Red Hats for God meet at Mackie's in Marion

On Aug. 6, the Red Hats for God gathered at Mackie's Pizza in Marion.

After Rockin Robin - Robin Johnston gave the blessing, we all enjoyed delicious pizza and salads. Our server was very nice and took very good care of us.

This gathering was a celebration for Most Royal Court Jester Roma Wilson's 90th birthday. She received several gifts including a walking cane and a special birthday hat. Baroness of Buttons and Bows Elizabeth Rittenberry gave her a gift with everything in it containing "90" items. She also received a gift with everything she would need for a "date". A few years ago, Roma told us about learning some karate moves. One member's birthday card reminded her of this and to our surprise, Roma gave a karate kick and yell just like before!

We played bingo with Miss Ruby Rhubarb Janet Gibson, Countess of Glamor Sandy Milligan and Rockin Robin - Robin Johnston all winning prizes. The blackout game was won by Most Royal Court Jester Roma Wilson. Our door prize was won by Countess of Glamor Sandy Milligan.

At the close of the gathering, we all shared Roma's birthday cake!

Our next gathering will be September 3 at 4:30 p.m. at Red Lobster.
