Plans being finalized for 2018 Saline County 4-H livestock shows

The Saline County 4-H Livestock Committee will meet at 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 7 at the Extension office. All committee members and other interested 4-H members and volunteers are welcome to attend. We will be finalizing plans for the upcoming 2018 4-H Livestock shows, cleanups, weigh-outs, and discussing the Livestock Auction. See you there!

Small Pets Forms

Saline County 4-H members planning to show a pet in the 4-H Small Pets Show on July 23 are reminded that forms are due in to the Extension Office by June 15. Members must indicate what type of small pet they will be bringing to the show and in which of the Small Pet project areas they are showing - Small Pets I, II, or III. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Practice Horse Show

The Saline County 4-H Horse & Pony Committee will hold a Clinic and Practice Horse Show at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 21 at the Saline County Fairgrounds or at the Darnell Arena in Galatia. Families will be notified of the location. All interested 4-H Horse exhibitors are encouraged to attend the practice show. Participants will receive instruction in showmanship and horsemanship, trail class, gaming classes, and more.

Youth and parents are encouraged to write down their questions and bring them to the show.

The 4-H Horse & Pony Committee will hold a short business meeting prior to the practice show. All committee members are encouraged to attend.
