All interested 4-H horse exhibitors are encouraged to attend the practice show. Participants will receive instruction in showmanship and horsemanship, trail class, gaming classes, and more. Youth and parents are encouraged to write down their questions and bring them to the show. The 4-H Horse & Pony Committee will hold a short business meeting beginning at 5 p.m., prior to the practice show. All committee members are encouraged to attend.

Public presentations
The Saline County 4-H Public Presentations Contest will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, June 5, at The Villas of Holly Brook in Harrisburg. The contest gives our 4-H members the opportunity to demonstrate their public speaking skills and to earn a chance to compete at the state fair level. This year's contest includes public speaking, demonstrations and food demonstrations. We invite 4-H families and the public to watch our talented youth compete in the Public Presentations Contest. Thank you to The Villas of Holly Brook for providing the location for this 4-H event.

Committee meeting
The Saline County 4-H Livestock Committee will meet at 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, at the Extension office. All committee members and other interested 4-H members and volunteers are welcome to attend. We will be finalizing plans for the upcoming 2017 4-H livestock shows, cleanups and weigh-outs and discussing the livestock auction. See you there!
