TEA Party to focus on health care at rally Saturday

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Harrisburg Taxed Enough Already Party rally, scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Harrisburg Township Park, will focus on urging senators to vote against an Obama administration proposal drafted by Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., which the TEA party says amounts to socialized medicine.

If the Senate supports Obama's proposal to increase the federal government's control of medical care, it would eventually result in rationing healthcare to senior citizens and others most in need, meaning there will be long lines and waiting periods with a government bureaucrat deciding who's valuable enough to society to get the treatment they need to save their lives, the TEA party organizers contend in a news release.

The national TEA Party movement originated earlier this year with conservative commentator Glenn Beck. Local organizations, including the Harrisburg chapter, first held rallies on April 15.
