Bill Brady: Our momentum is continuing

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Brady believes his campaign's momentum is continuing through the fall.

Most polls showed Brady with a slim to moderate lead over Gov. Pat Quinn. Recently, some polls suggested the race may be tightening. Not so, Brady said.

"We don't think they're tightening, we think our momentum is continuing," Brady said during a stop Friday morning at Granny's Kitchen in Harrisburg.

A recent Rasmussen poll had Brady ahead by about 8 percent, he said.

"The only poll we care about is Nov. 2," he said.

Voters are fed up with the status quo in Springfield, Brady said after meting the breakfast crowd at the restaurant.

"Yesterday it was revealed that Pat Quinn is buying new automobiles when we can't afford to pay our bills," Brady said.

The people of Illinois want responsible government and are currently not getting it, he said.
