Ferrell Hospital hosts USDA meeting for expansion project

ELDORADO – Community members learned about financing options that Ferrell Hospital officials hope to secure as part of its expansion plan during a U.S. Department of Agriculture meeting April 20 at Eldorado Community Center.

The public also was informed on what the entire expansion project will entail. Several key hospital leaders, along with the construction management team and community members, conducted presentations at the meeting.

Earlier this month, Ferrell Hospital was awarded a certificate of need by the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board to move forward with a $37 million expansion and renovation project. The approved plan will modernize the 25-bed critical access hospital and provide space for expanded health services.
