11-year sentence for rolling meth lab

An Eldorado man received an 11-year sentence for driving with a rolling methamphetamine lab Friday.

Saline County Judge Walden E. Morris sentenced Donald W. Crisp, 35, Eldorado, after his guilty plea to unlawful participation in meth manufacturing, a Class X felony, punishable by six to 30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. He was sentenced to three years mandatory supervised release and costs.

The Illinois Conservation Police, Saline County Sheriff's Office and Illinois State Police Methamphetamine Response Team led the investigation.

On Dec. 14, 2013, Illinois Conservation Police conducted a traffic stop of Crisp's vehicle and found an active meth lab in the passenger floorboard along with meth precursors.

Assistant State's Attorney Jason A. Olson led the prosecution.
