The Eldorado High School girls' golf team had a quick turnaround after capturing the Black Diamond Conference Championship Thursday with a 169-200 win over Carterville Thursday at Crab Orchard Golf Course.
Eldorado High School head coach Greg Goodley said that his team is definitely moving in the right direction with regionals two weeks away.
Ashton Goodley regained some form and took medalist honors with an even-par 36. Taylor Goodley was one stroke behind, finishing with a 37, while Jaclyn Artman fired a 47 for the Eagles and Taylor Aldridge had a 49, as did Sam Mings.
"It was great to see our girls come out and stay focused and play a very good round (today)," EHS head coach Greg Goodley said. "This could be one of our most solid team rounds of the year with a five of our six scores below 49 to 36.
"It's great to see after playing 18 the day before. You always question how your team will do when playing a lot in close days and we have played 36 holes in four days and did a great job. The girls have been telling each other 'stay hungry' and what a great way to stay focused on their goals."
