  • Prep Golf: Bulldogs’ bus continues to roll on

  • The Harrisburg High School boys' golf team took down West Frankfort 147-168 Tuesday at Shawnee Hills Country Club.
    Alexander Tison took medalist honors for the Bulldogs by firing a 34. Garrett Jenkins wasn't too far behind with a 36.
    Jenkins' day started on the par-5 No. 6 at Shawnee Hills were he recorded an eagle with a drive piped down the middle of the fairway, followed by a hybrid to the middle of the green and closed things off with a 12-foot putt for eagle.
    Ben Fowler closed with a 37 and Patrick Bittle busted out a 40 for the top four scores for the Bulldogs.
    Ryan Williams shot a 40, while Dillion Street put up a 41 on the day.
    Harrisburg (19-1) will travel to McLeansboro to play Hamilton County Tuesday.
