Loveta Butler Dixon, 91, Ridgway, formerly of Eldorado, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at her residence.
She was born in Eldorado on June 5, 1921, to the late Tom W. and Rebecca Hannah (Prather) Beasley. On Nov. 11, 1942, she married Joe M. Butler and he preceded her in death on Dec, 26, 1958. And she married Delmar Dixon on July 31, 1971, and he preceded her in death on March 27, 1997. She worked as a bookkeeper for Granite City Army Depot, Bunge Corp. in Shawneetown, the U.S. Forest Service, Saline County Clerk in Harrisburg and the State of Illinois in Springfield.
She was a member of the Gallatin County Home Makers Extension — Beta Sigma Phi. She enjoyed daily visits to the drugstore “Round Table” at Skaggs-Reeder drug store in Ridgway.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Mac (Ellen) Butler of Eldorado, Tommy D (Kelli) Butler of Eldorado; a daughter, Susie (Dean) Hester of Livingston, Texas; a stepdaughter Billie K. Meyers of Springfield; and a stepson, Michael Ray (Angela) Dixon of Vincennes, Ind.; six grandchildren, Joey (Renee) Butler of Nashville, Tenn., Traci (Sean) Riley of Tampa, Fla., Shea (Otis) Curry of Springhill, Tenn., Hanna Butler of Eldorado, Ashton Dixon of Carbondale, Emily Dixon of Carbondale; four great-grandchildren, Rebecca Riley of Corpus Christi, Texas, Seanna Riley of Tampa, Fla., Chayse Curry of Springhill, Tenn., and Graham Curry also of Springhill, Tenn.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2013, at the Watson Funeral Home. Herb Buche will officiate. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2013, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to VNA Hospice Plus in her memory and left at the funeral home.
