  • Club member Donald Finlay of Lake Ozark, Missouri, created this ingenious way to clamp together large workpieces. He came up with the idea to help him pull foam-panel roof sections together, but he soon discovered the method works great for many situations. He first creates custom-sized brackets that he screws or nails to the workpieces. Then by driving two opposing wedges into the space created by the brackets, he can pull together the pieces, — no matter how large. The longer the wedges, the more drawing force he creates.
