Jacqueline "Jackie" L. Pemberton, 96, of Washington, Ind., formerly of Eldorado, passed away on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at the Washington Nursing Center in Washington.
She was born Sept. 18, 1916, in Eldorado, the daughter of Emmett and Hattie (Endicott) Livingston.
She attended Eldorado schools and Southeastern Illinois College. Before retiring, she had worked as a nurse at Pearce Hospital and Eldorado Nursing Home. She was a member of the Eldorado First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Connie Cresgy, of Washington, Ind.; a granddaughter, Mindy (Kurt) Shetter, Brownsburg, Ind.; a grandson, Todd (Melissa) Gould, Indianapolis, Ind.; and a great-grandson, Nathan Gould, Indianapolis, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, James Arthur Pemberton, who passed away Dec. 9, 1972. Three sisters, Opal Ross, Margaret Williams and Mildred Livingston; a half sister Golda Pryor; and a half brother, Archie Livingston, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on noon Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado. The Rev. John Cross will officiate. Burial will be in Wesley Cemetery. Visitation will be on from 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, until service time of noon at the funeral home.
