Juanita McClusky, 76, Carbondale, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away at 1:20 p.m. Jan. 5, 2013, at her residence.
She was born May 12, 1937, in Harrisburg to Frank Harrison and Bonnie Perkins. She was married Oct. 1, 1958, to the Rev. George William McClusky in Little Rock, Ark. Her husband died Feb. 8, 1988, after 29 years of marriage.
She worked at the Harrisburg Medical Center for 20 years in housekeeping and the obstetrics department as well as the nursery. She cooked in various restaurants and later went on to care for the elderly.
She is survived by one daughter, Donna Bryant and husband Don of Carbondale; one son, Ronny McClusky of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Heather Bryant and husband Stewart Clark of Carterville, Don Bryant III of Carbondale, Maggie Bryant of Carbondale, Ryan McClusky of Carrier Mills and Lara McClusky of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Harrisburg with the Rev. Alan Rhein officiating.
Memorial contributions can be sent to Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or Trinity Christian School of Carbondale, or First United Methodist of Carbondale Building Fund. Funeral arrangements are by Walker Funeral Home and Crematory of Carbondale.
