“In God We Trust” is a phrase often used, yet forgotten even more. These words can be placed on any item, but if they are not written on our hearts, they are only empty words. Family and moral values continue to deteriorate while our nation seeks to redefine the God-given definition of marriage.
Once upon a time, it was common to hear, “A family that prays together, stays together.” Now I wonder if that is even politically correct for our society seems to keep squeezing God out of the picture.
The destiny of any nation is illuminated by the principles within. The strength of any nation is established in unity; for a nation divided against itself cannot stand. A nation is only as strong as the practices within. If those practices are prone to tearing down, then a nation will crumble under the effect.
The threat to a nation is not from without, but from within. The strength to stand comes from principles and practices that build one upon another, whether it is a family, a community, a state or a nation.
“In God We Trust” needs to be written on the hearts of every family, in every community, in every state in this nation if we want God’s blessing.
