Blanche Evelyn Billman, 95, a long time resident of Muddy, passed away at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Blanche was born on Aug.18, 1917, in Gallatin County to the late Elmer and Stella (Black) Greer. On June 10, 1942, she married Lloyd Billman and he preceded her in death on December 1, 1977. She was a member of Dorrisville Baptist Church.
Surviving family members include her son, Donnie Billman and wife Marsha of Harrisburg; daughter, Bonnie Irwin and husband Jack of California; daughter, Peggy Schropp and husband Lou of Lake St. Louis; two step-sons, Ralph Billman of Mt. Vernon, Ind., and John Billman of O’Fallon, Mo.; three step-daughters, Mary Lou Alvey of Eldorado, Hazel Gass of Joliet and Neva Townsend of Peoria; two grandsons; one granddaughter; four stepgrandsons; eight stepgranddaughters.
Blanche was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Bernice Sweet; stepson, Jim Billman; one grandson; one stepgranddaughter; and two stepgrandsons.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Reed Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dewayne Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow in Cottage Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at Reed Funeral Chapel.
