Bill Stokich, 78, of Harrisburg passed away 6:35 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
He was born May 15, 1936, in Harrisburg the son of Carl and Eunice Reynolds Shokich. He married Donna Paul and she survives. Bill was a butcher at Dorrisville Food Market and Hauptmann's Grocery. He retired as Maintenance supervisor at Southeastern Illinois College after 32 years.
Bill is survived by his wife Donna; two sons Martin (Holly) Stokich and Glen (Cindy) Stokich, both of Harrisburg; one brother, Orval Stokich of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, Heather Boone, Brad Stokich, Mike Stokich, Mark Stokich and Megan Gulley; six great-grandchildren, Logan Boone, Noah Boone, McKenna Boone, Keaton Stokich, Addison Stokich and Gavin Horton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Carl Stokich Jr. and Jim Stokich; and two sisters, Hazel Parkinson and Mary Ann Martin.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at the J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home with the Rev. Bernie Cowgill officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
