Obituary: Rosalie DeNeal

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Rosalie DeNeal, 92, Harrisburg, passed away at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at the Carrier Mills Nursing Home.

She was born on April 20, 1919, in Harrisburg to the late Grover and Bertha (Johnson) Wise. On March 27, 1940, she married Robert DeNeal, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 16, 2003.

Rosalie was a homemaker, a member of Rudement Social Brethren Church and the Womble Mountain Homemakers Extension for 50 years.

Surviving family members include two sons, Gary DeNeal and wife Judy and Gerald DeNeal and wife Cathy of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Travis DeNeal and wife Sara, Brian DeNeal and wife Vicky, Hugh DeNeal and Darin DeNeal and wife Marjorie; two great-grandchildren, Madeleine DeNeal and Wilson DeNeal; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at the Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Carl Watkins will officiate. Burial will follow in Blockhouse Cemetery in Rudement. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.
