The Vermilion County coroner's office says 52-year-old Russell Carmickle's body was found over the weekend near Danville in east-central Illinois.
Authorities say they're investigating. They're not yet saying what they think caused the Rosiclare man's death.
Dorothy Carmickle was 39 when she was found dead along a road last August in Gallatin County. The coroner said she had a fractured skull and other head trauma, with marks on her body suggesting she'd been dragged. A coroner's jury recently ruled the death a homicide.
A man who was with Carmickle at the time says she jumped out of the vehicle after they argued.
No charges have been filed.
