Eldorado shuts out Gallatin Co., NCOE

The Eldorado baseball team moved to one game over .500 with a 10-0 win over Norris City-Omaha-Enfield Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles (6-5) pounded out seven hits on the day as Parker Price led the charge with a 2-for-4 performance. Price also scored two runs and added an RBI.

Chase Kittinger, Dylan Vaughn, Canon Weatherly, Trevor Milligan and Aiden Whitlock all had one hit as Bradley Boulds and Milligan each had two RBI on the day. Kittinger and Vaughn had one RBI.

Whitlock, Kittinger and Byrd all had two runs scored, while Vaughn and Weatherly each had one run scored.

Byrd picked up the win on the mound as he went six innings, striking out 14 and allowed just three hits.

Byrd gave up a double to Nathaniel Wilson and CJ Richardson and a single to Erik Healy.

Lucas Browning got the start for NCOE, giving up seven runs on four hits over two innings, while striking out four and walking four. Cord Tucker came on in relief and gave up three runs (two earned) on three hits, while striking out one.

Parker Price threw a gem on Thursday for Eldorado, allowing no runs on one hit, while striking out 14 in Eldorado's 10-0 win over Gallatin County at the EHS Sports Complex.

Chase Kittinger led the Eagle offense at the plate going 3-for-4 in the leadoff position with a run scored, while Bryant Byrd, Trevor Milligan, Aiden Whitlock and Price all had two hits. Price, Byrd and Milligan all scored two runs, while Whitlock had a team-high three RBI with a run scored.

Bradley Boulds, Dylan Vaughn, Canon Weatherly and Anderson Woolcott all banged out one hit as Vaughn and Woolcott each scored a run.

Eldorado put up two runs in the first inning and added a run in the second and third inning. Eldorado capped off the contest with four runs in the fourth as they had 15 hits on the day.

The Eagles were scheduled to play at double header at Fairfield on Monday and will host Crab Orchard on Friday. EHS will close out the week with a home contest against Hamilton County on Saturday at 1 p.m.
