Harrisburg picks up split on hardwood

Harrisburg split a pair of early week games, losing at Massac County 51-33 Monday and then went on the road to win 48-44 at Carbondale Tuesday.

In the loss at Massac County, the Bulldogs put two players in double figures as Lauryn Gribble led the team with 11 points and Riley Harrison tacked on 10.

Adams and Moss each finished with five points, while Chelsea Davidson tacked on two points.

Harrisburg shot 28 percent from the field, knocking down 11-of-38 attempts and was just 7-of-19 from the foul stripe for 36 percent.

In the rebound win over South Seven opponent Carbondale, Harrisburg put three players in double figures, led by 17 points from Gribble. Davidson tacked on 11 for the 'Dogs, while Harrison tossed in 10 points.

Moss scored seven points for HHS and Sidney Neal scored two points.

Harrisburg went 14-for-38 from the field for 36 percent, and finished at 60 percent from the charity stripe, knocking down 17-of-28 free throws.

Harrisburg was scheduled to play at Massac County on Wednesday night, followed by a home game with Benton Thursday. The Bulldogs conclude the week with a home game Saturday against Cairo, beginning at Noon.
