John was born on April 8, 1987 in Harrisburg to Lynn Houston and Joe Sepulveda.

He was a fun-loving person who loved his children, family, playing guitar, making music and playing video games. He was a working man who was the life of the party, and was known and loved by many.

He attended culinary school at Rend Lake College. He had his first job at Granny's Kitchen for a couple years. The rest of his teenage years and into his early 20s he worked at the BBQ Barn, from there he went to Walmart where he worked and managed until last year.

John was a comedian, who loved joking around and being silly. He would leave you in stitches. He was a musician playing in various bands in southern Illinois. His technical and smooth scales and riffs left you wanting more. His passion was guitars, most notably his 7-string guitars. He loved playing video games and was teaching his daughter to be as good as him. All in all John was an awesome, sweet, loving soul taken way too soon and will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his parents, Lynn Houston and Joe Sepulveda; his siblings, Starla (Jesse) Lemus, Danielle (DJ) Smith, James Houston, Magan (Jake) Golden, Joey (Meghyn) Sepulveda; his children, Brielle Elizabeth Sepulveda and Stephan Miles Sepulveda; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He will be greatly missed by his mother, brothers, sisters, children, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

We love you.
