JOHNSTON CITY -- There was a line that stretched for more than a city block as children and their parents waited for a visit with Santa on Saturday at the 11th Annual Johnston City Hometown Christmas.

Shooting Star Photography welcomed Santa and Mrs. Claus to Andresen's Café, where Anthony Spiller had a cozy seat near the tree waiting for the pair.

SSP owner, Sheila Clendenin offered free pictures with Santa for the event.

The annual event also included several area businesses and organizations with tables set up giving away treats, bouncy toys, and an Arctic Drop

Terry Brooks, owner of Music in Motion, provided music and there was even a visit from the Grinch before the official lighting of the town Christmas tree.
