Memorial Hospital Wound Center receives quality award

Memorial Hospital's Wound Center has received the 2020 Going The Distance award given by RestorixHealth, which specializes in the development and management of comprehensive wound healing and Amputation Prevention CenterĀ® facilities.

Results are calculated by comparing the center's patient outcomes against RestorixHealth nationwide bench marks. The Going The Distance award acknowledges outpatient wound healing centers that have achieved or exceeded nationwide patient outcome standards.

"During these unprecedented times I welcome the opportunity to recognize our center staff and the talent they bring to the wound healing clinic," said Memorial Hospital CEO Brett Bollmann.

"Their dedication is highly valued and a commitment to ensuring the best possible care for our patients and community."

At Memorial Hospital's Wound Center, the approach to wound care is comprehensive, coordinating traditional and advanced therapies that aid and accelerate the healing process. For patients, that means faster healing times, longer-lasting results, decreased amputation rates and increased mobility.

Wound conditions treated include but are not limited to diabetic foot ulcers, venous ulcers, pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, traumatic wounds, arterial ulcers, radiation wounds, compromised skin grafts and flaps and crush injuries.

The Wound Center is open on Tuesday mornings in Memorial Hospital's Specialty Clinic. For more information about wound care or to schedule an appointment, call (618) 826-4583 or visit www.mhchester.com. No referral is required.
