One additional COVID-19 case reported in Saline over weekend

SALINE COUNTY - Egyptian Health Department reported one new case of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the total number of cases in Saline County to nine.

The most recent case is a woman in her 70s. She is at home in isolation and doing well, according to an EHD news release.

This is the 15th case reported in EHD's three-county region, which is Saline, Gallatin and White counties.

Gallatin County has had two cases, and White County has had four. In Saline County, eight of the nine reported cases have recovered. Both of Gallatin's have recovered, and three of White County's four cases have recovered.

Other counties in the region continue to report new cases of COVID-19.

Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department on Monday reported five new cases in Williamson County and one in Franklin County. The Williamson County cases include two men in their 20s, a man in his 50s, a woman in her 20s and a woman in her 40s. The Franklin County case is a male teen.

Bi-County has reported 117 cases in Williamson County and 14 in Franklin County. There have been four deaths in Williamson County. Of the reported cases there, 75 have recovered in Williamson County and 14 have recovered in Franklin.

The most recent report from Jackson County was Friday, when no new cases had been reported.

Southern Seven Health Department reported three new cases in its seven-county coverage area on Monday. Massac County had a male in his 30s and a female in her 50s both test positive. In Union County, one woman in her 30s tested positive.

Southern Seven has had 299 cumulative cases so far, with 197 recovered. There have been 19 related deaths in Southern Seven's coverage area.

In Illinois, 738 new cases were reported statewide Monday, including 14 deaths. There have been 142,461 cases reported statewide, with 6,902 related deaths, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.
