Physical therapist, store owner presents program to Harrisburg Kiwanis

Guest speaker at the weekly Kiwanis meeting on Wednesday, July 17 was Josh Gill.

Josh is a physical therapist at Integrated Health and is also the owner of Good Life Nutrition located on Small Street, plus Shawnee Fitness behind the Saline County Museum in Harrisburg.

He began his presentation with a discussion of his health food store, Good Life Nutrition.

Besides offering vitamins, supplements and herbs, the business offers prepackaged healthy meals. They may be picked up at the store and can also be ordered in advance from their Facebook page at goodlifenutrition2. Weekly menus are posted on Facebook.

Gill also talked about the supplements available, which include CBD oil.

He indicated that the latest trend is multi-collagen supplements, which help with joint and tissue rejuvenation as well as having anti-inflammatory properties.

According to Gill, after the age of 25 collagen production diminishes to zero.

All vitamins in the store, he said, are mostly whole food products.

In addition, Shawnee Fitness information was delivered to the club.

The gym is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Membership is $30 per month an additional $10 for other household members.

There are discounts for seniors and veterans. Specific classes are also available from trainers for a separate charge of $5 per class. The gym also has two locker rooms with showers.
