Eldorado Garden Study Club visits Peony Hill Farm

On May 17, members of the Eldorado Garden Study Club visited the Hilliard's Peony Hill Farm in Harrisburg.

Owners David and Julie Hilliard provided the group with a tour of the 12 acres of beautiful blooming peonies and shared information on how to raise and care for them.

After the tour, the group held its May meeting, discussing the club's many projects, including plans for the Monarch Way Station, which aligns with the 2018 emphases of the National Garden Club and the Garden Clubs of Illinois.

Refreshments of lemonade and cookies were enjoyed by all as they each created their own take-home bouquet of peonies and greenery.
