Chester Business of the Month: Stylin' On State marks two years

Stylin' On State, at 611 State St. in Chester's historic downtown block, has been named the Chester Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month for December.

The business, owned and operated by Chester native Brenda Owen, opened in November 2017, with high quality used furniture and home decor, which Owen restores, rehabs and otherwise upscales to be "like new" or "better than new."

The business caters to current shabby chic and farmhouse decor styles, but also sells traditional home furnishings.

Stylin' On State maintains a selection of new items from curated vendors, both large companies such as Mud Pie and individual artisans with unique merchandise.

It also offers unique and custom florals, including table arrangements, wreaths and wall hangings. Most recently the business added two product lines made in the USA, including handcrafted jewelry from Tennessee and home fragrance items made in St. Louis.

"At Stylin' on State, we strive to offer exceptional value at reasonable prices," said Owen. "We appreciate the chamber's recognition and the support of area customers."
