Galatia woman injured in Sunday night crash

GALATIA - A Galatia woman was hospitalized after she apparently crashed her vehicle Sunday night, according to Illinois State Police.

Donna K. Bowlby, 55, was driving a gray Dodge Journey north on Payne Road one-quarter of a mile north of Cedar Point Road in Saline County at about 10:05 p.m.

According to ISP's preliminary traffic crash investigation, Bowlby struck the ditch on the west side.

She continued north through a cornfield and came to rest in the ditch on the north side.

Bowlby was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to ISP.

She was cited by ISP with DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage.
