Christmas Tree Contest underway
Eldorado Main Street is holding its annual Christmas Tree Contest Saturday at the Old City Hall Museum on Locust Street Saturday. Some of the trees are already set up.
"Businesses, churches and individuals are welcome to enter the competition," said Bev Watson, co-chair of the events committee.
From 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Dec. 6 at the museum building the public will be welcome to view the trees. There will be a luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. which will consist of sandwiches, soup and red velvet cake. The event is free.
The luncheon is $6 for adults. Proceeds go to fund Main Street events.
"Santa and Mrs. Claus will attend. There will also be a holiday market upstairs at which vendors will be selling crafts, gifts and jewelry," Watson said.
"We already have a full house of 14 vendors," she said.
