Robert 'Bob' Holmes

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[I am Bob Holmes. I am running for City Council. I live in the city of Harrisburg and have for 47 years.

I have worked as an employee of Harrisburg on the Water Department and Flood Control Department. I retired after 20 years. I feel by working for the city I understand the budget and know how to work with it.

I am a board member of the Athletic Youth Association and belong to the Masonic Lodge. I was a volunteer firefighter for 42 years.

I have raised my family, Robert Holmes Jr. and Trena Lynn Black, here. I was married to the former Geri (Lucas) Holmes, who is now deceased.

I am a property owner and feel the council when elected should be capable of making decisions of whether the city should be zoned or not zoned, annexed or not annexed. We need to take care of our city before we think of annexing more property. We need to get the city of Harrisburg in tip-top condition to be proud of our city and do what's best for the people.

I would like to see our city continue with good schools, churches and clean neighborhoods.
