Fatal crash in Pope County Tuesday morning

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[A single-vehicle crash resulted in a fatality Tuesday morning in Pope County.

The crash took place 8:15 a.m. on state Route 146 three miles west of Golconda, according to a news release from the State Police post in Ullin. The name of the driver is being withheld pending notification of the family.

The 2010 Ford Fusion drifted into the westbound lane, then went off the pavement and struck two trees.

The investigation by the ISP is continuing.
