Lady Hawks blitz Hardin County at GEC Tourney
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Strong defense pushed the Gallatin County Lady Hawks to a 61-17 win in their opening game of the GEC tournament Wednesday night at Hardin County.
Shane Patton's club got off to an 11-2 lead after one quarter against the tourney hosts, led 30-7 at the break and 54-14 after three quarters.
Two Lady Hawks were in double digits - Casey Crissup, with 14, and Kasey Glover, with 10. In all, 11 Gallatin County players scored.
Jacklyn Kingsley accounted for 10 of Hardin County's 17 points, including three three-pointers.
Gallatin advances to the championship game against the winner of the other semfinal between Pope County and Galatia-Thompsonville.
