Three burglaries investigated

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Burglaries are on the rise across the county, judging by recent investigations in Harrisburg, Raleigh and the Wasson area.

This morning Harrisburg Police were investigating the burglary of First United Methodist Church of Harrisburg, according to Chief Bob Smith.

This morning the only item Smith was aware was missing was a small box of cash in one of the offices.

Tuesday a man reported the burglary of the house of his friend, Charles I. Paris, at 40 W. Church St., Raleigh.

A DVD/VCR player and some swords that had been hanging on the wall were missing.

On June 17 board members of Lindale Cemetery reported the break in and burglary of a generator and weed trimmer from the cemetery's maintenance shed, according to a sheriff's report.

Maintenance man Ronnie Foster said he last saw the items June 3, according to the report.
