JV Eagles thwarted in opener

"I think the lack of practice time we would have had with those freshmen on Saturday hurt us," said Eldorado coach Damian Morris. "Once we get those people in the fold, we'll do better as the season progresses."
Eldorado trailed 32-0 at the half of Monday's contest before playing to an 8-8 tie in the second. The Eagles' lone score came on a six yard run from Dylan Roberts.
Quarterback Nick Schimp hit Dustin Williams with a pass for the two-point conversion.
The JV Eagles will take another crack at getting their first win next Monday, when they host Elverado-Trico at 6:15.
