The hot perimeter shooting continues for the Galatia Bearcats, as they drained eight three-pointers Saturday afternoon in defeating Shawnee, 79-65, at the GEC/SEC Shootout at Southeastern Illinois College.

Denton Reed led the way, hitting six treys and making all five of his free throws en route to 29 points. Kobe Watson was right behind, with 28 points, including the team’s other two threes, and Joey Cullum joined them in double figures with 15.

Galatia moves to 9-11 on the year, and the Bearcats are in action again on Tuesday night, traveling to Hardin County.
