PREP BASEBALL: Bulldogs win seventh straight

Cody Hall tossed a complete game three-hitter as Harrisburg improved to 26-7-1 with a 9-2 win over Carbondale Thursday at Dorris Heights.

Hall allowed all of the hits in the Carbondale third inning as he improved to 5-1 on the year.

It marked the seventh straight win for the Bulldogs.

Harrisburg scored five runs over the first three innings and led 5-2. Both teams committed five errors, but two Carbondale (7-18) errors in the sixth inning helped put the game away for the Bulldogs.

Harrisburg batted around in the sixth and scored four unearned runs. Ryne Roper finished with a single and two runs driven in. Tyler McGowan also drove in a pair of runs.

Offensively, Cameron Cummins, Sykes Thompson, Justin Younger and McGowan all finished 1-for-3 on the day. Roper concluded a day at the plate going 1-for-4 with two RBIs and Dalton Rightnowar had an RBI.

The Bulldogs closed the home portion of their regular season with a 16-5-1 mark at Dorris Heights and head to Marion today to close the schedule with the Wildcats at 4:30.
