Wildcats roar way past NCOE

Carrier Mills will play Hardin Co. Friday at 7 p.m.

The Carrier Mills moved one step forward in the GEC Conference Tournament Tuesday night, knocking off NCOE 50-32.

The Wildcats struggled out of the gate, leading 9-6 after one quarter of play, but then outscored the Cardinals 19-6 in the second period to lead 23-12 at halftime.

Carrier Mills then outscored NCOE 17-6 in the third quarter to lead 40-18 going into the game's final eight minutes of play.

Leading the way for the Wildcats was Josh Bailey and Jordan Walker as each scored a team-high 11 points. Gabe Morgan scored nine points and Cameron Taborn added points. Collin Crim and Clayton Stucker each finished with four points, while Dathan Taborn tacked on two points. Slayden Figg added a free throw.
