The NJCAA preseason basketball poll has ranked John A. Logan fourth nationally. It is the highest the Volunteers have been ranked in the official NJCAA preseason ranking.

"I'm excited and happy for our players who work hard to improve every day, but it just makes the target on our back even bigger," said Kyle Smithpeters, Vols coach. "The poll does show everyone how tough our schedule is. Vincennes is ranked number one and we will play them at least twice this season and our second game next week will be at Indian Hills, ranked sixth."

Logan will open the season on Friday against Otero of Colorado at a tournament at Indian Hills. Saturday night the Vols will challenge Indian Hills. The Warriors are 77-6 in home games over the past four seasons.

Logan vs. Otero will be at 5 p.m. on Friday while the much anticipated game between Logan and Indian Hills will by 7 p.m., Saturday.

Logan will host top ranked Vincennes on Nov. 26 at 7 p.m.
