Chester Lady Jackets volleyball to host 2019 summer camp

The Chester High School Lady Jackets volleyball team will host the 2019 Summer Volleyball Camp July 15-17 on Rocky Bridges Court at Chester High School's Colbert Gymnasium.

Girls entering grades 3-8 are invited to attend the camp, where instruction will be provided by CHS coaches and current Lady Jacket volleyball players. Girls will be taught basic skills, elements of teamwork, drills and do competitive activities.

Campers will be divided into two groups by age. Grades 3rd-5th will meet daily from 8:30-10 a.m. and grades 6th–8th will meet from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. each day.

The cost for the three-day camp is $35 if signed up before July 15. Day-of registration will cost $40.

Mail the fees and registration forms to CHS Head Volleyball Coach Sarah Norman at Chester High School, 1901 Swanwick St., Chester, 62233. Registration forms were handed out at the local schools, but are available in the CHS office.

All participants will get three days of instruction as well as an official 2019 CHS Lady Jacket Volleyball Camp T-shirt.

Registration forms and camp liability waiver forms must be signed and dated by a parent or guardian.

Campers should wear athletic shoes, shorts and T-shirts or other athletic tops.
