Bulldogs rebound from Patriot loss with win over Union Co. Ky.

Harrisburg rebounded from Tuesday's loss to Massac County by blanking Union County, Ky., 13-0 Wednesday.

Lydia Miller got the win in the circle and improved to 2-0 on the season. The junior allowed just five hits, while striking out four.

Harrisburg's bats were hot against the Braves as Karsyn Davis went 3-for-4, driving in seven runs and crushing two home runs.

The Southeast Missouri State signee smacked a two-run home run in the first inning, ripped a double in the third inning that scored one run and then closed the game out with a grand slam in the sixth inning and now has nine home runs on the season.

Mya King was 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Mackenzie Marshall was 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Madeline Rider, Essence Sanders, Hannah Reid and Miller all had one hit.

Harrisburg is now 13-1 on the season and was scheduled to play Benton Thursday.

<b>West Frankfort 10, Eldorado 8</b>

Eldorado jumped out to a 6-2 lead after two innings, but West Frankfort rallied with four runs in the fifth and tacked on a run in the seventh to earn a 10-8 win over the Eagles Wednesday.

Ali Joyner took the loss, giving up nine runs on 14 hits, while striking out one.

Emma Wargel was 3-for-4 with three doubles, three runs and three RBI. Lexie Mitchell was 2-for-4 with three runs, an RBI and two stolen bases. Kathlene Green was 2-for-4 with a run scored and RBI, while Paige Munds was 3-for-4 with a run scored. Cydnee VanZant was 1-for-4 with an RBI and Joyner was 1-for-3 with a run scored. Lexie Hobbs was 1-for-4 with an RBI.

<b>Massac County 6, Harrisburg 3</b>

Harrisburg's 12-game win streak to start the season was snapped Tuesday by Massac County as the Bulldogs were beat 6-3.

Massac County's Cali McCraw went seven innings and allowed three runs on seven hits, while striking out five and walking one.

MaKayla Payne took the loss as she dropped to 10-1 on the year as she lasted just two innings, departing with shoulder soreness. Payne allowed three runs on four hits, while striking out two and walking two.

Miller relieved Payne and allowed three runs on seven hits, while striking out three.

<b>Carmi-White County 4, Eldorado 0</b>

Emma Wargel went the distance, but took the loss, as the Eagles opened Black Diamond Conference play Tuesday in a 4-0 loss to Carmi-White County.

Wargel allowed no earned runs on six hits, while striking out five.

Eldorado had five hits on the day as Paige Munds, Lexie Mitchell, Kathlene Green, Ali Joyner and Wargel all had one hit.

<b>Eldorado 20, Carrier Mills 8</b>

Piper DeBose went 4-for-4 with two RBI as Eldorado knocked off Carrier Mills-Stonefort 20-8 Monday afternoon. Kathlene Green was 2-for-3 with two RBI, while Haley Easley drove in a team-high four runs and went 2-for-5 from the plate. Ali Joyner was 2-for-4 with three RBI and Cydnee VanZant drove in one run, finishing 2-for-4.
