Bulldogs blank Seneca

Harrisburg posted its third shut out of the season, blanking Seneca 10-0 Monday at Jay Thompson Field.

Harrisburg out hit Seneca 10-4 and jumped on the visitors early, scoring four runs in the bottom of the first, followed by three runs in the bottom of the second and third inning to short game Seneca.

Will Gibbs led Harrisburg at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three runs scored, while Will Holland had a team-high three RBI and another three runs scored, while going 2-for-3 at the plate.

Isaac Crabb, Jack Martin, Javie Beal, Connor Phalin and Ben Brombaugh all had one hit. Crabb, Martin and Phalin all finished with two RBI, while Martin scored two runs. Beal and Brombaugh each scored one run.

On the mound, Jack Martin got the win, going four innings and scattering three hits, while striking out five. Andrew Bittle came on in relief, tossing one inning and giving up one hit, while striking out two.

In addition to Harrisburg shut out over Seneca, the Bulldogs have also blanked Hardin County 11-0 and Eldorado 7-0.

Harrisburg is scheduled to play host to Plano on Wednesday at 6 p.m., followed by a home game against Prairie Ridge Friday and Graves County, Ky., Saturday.
