Bulldogs get big road win at Massac

Harrisburg put three players in double figures as the Bulldogs beat Massac County 60-51 Tuesday night on the road in SIRR Ohio basketball action.

Summer Sanders had a game-high 16 points, while Karsyn Davis finished with 14 points and Brooke Meylor tacked on 13 points.

Essence Sanders added eight for Harrisburg in the win, while Madeline Rider scored seven points and Ivy Brown tossed in two points.

Harrisburg shot 19-for-46 from the field for 41 percent and went 5-of-17 from 3-point range (29 percent) and shot 50 percent from the free throw line, going 17-for-34.

Massac County was held to 37 percent shooting on 22-of-59 from the field, while going 3-of-15 from 3-point range (20 percent) and finishing 36 percent from the free throw line, going 4-for-11.

Harrisburg outrebounded Massac County 37-33

In the junior varsity game, Massac County rolled to a 58-18 win.

Stream Black led the way with five points, while Mya King and Jazmin Robinson each tacked on three points. Maya Robinson, Lauryn Gribble and Kailyn Moss each tossed in two points, while Lexi Williams had a free throw.

Carmi-White Co. 45, Gallatin Co. 37

Audrey Jackson had a team-high 19 points, but it wasn't enough as Gallatin County lost to Carmi-White County 45-37 Wednesday night.

Other scorers for Gallatin County included: Molly Newton (8), Makenzie Russell (4), Gracie Sauls (2), Hallie Zirkelbach (2), Megan Morgan (2).

Sydney Lucas had a game-high 22 points for Carmi-White County, while Mariah Van Matre scored seven points.

Julia Smith and Elleigh Gray both chipped in with six points, while Mayci Edwards finished with four points.

Harrisburg girls played at Benton Thursday, while Eldorado played at Hamilton County and Galatia-Thompsonville traveled to Dongola.
