Eldorado gets win over Gallatin Co. at LEMWC

Paige Munds and Lexie Mitchell both scored 14 points for Eldorado en route to a 53-21 win over Gallatin County Wednesday night at the Lady Eagle Mid-Winter Classic.

Lilly Mosby netted nine in the win for EHS, while Jade Hise added eight points. Emma Wargel and Lacey Hobbs both tacked on three points, while Kiandra Hellsvig tossed in two points

Without the services of Audrey Jackson, who was out sick, Megan Morgan led the Hawks with 10 points. Gracie Sauls finished with four points, while Zirkelback had three points. Megan Oldham and Emma Brockett each had two points

<b>Galatia-Thompsonville 42, Shawnee 22</b>

The Galatia-Thompsonville girls' basketball team improved to 7-10 with a 41-22 win over Shawnee Wednesday night at the Zeigler-Royalton Tournament.

Jaedyn Beers had a double-double for the Bearcats wtih 11 points and 16 rebounds, while Bailey Crisp also put up nine points and pulled down 10 rebounds.

Kate Bond just missed out on a double-double as well, netting nine points and grabbing 10 boards, but Chloe Mays added eight points and eight rebounds. Josie Martin and Hayley Brown both had two points.

<b>Vienna 73, Eldorado 70</b>

Eldorado had five players score in double figures, including 18 points from Lily Mosby, but it wasn't enough as the Eagles dropped an overtime thriller to Vienna Tuesday night.

Lexie Mitchell finished with 14 points, while Paige Munds and Emma Wargel both scored 13 points for EHS. Jade Hise tacked on 12 points.

Vienna had four players finish in double figures.

<b>Harrisburg 50, Anna-Jonesboro 42</b>

On Tuesday night, Harrisburg picked up its 22nd win of the season with an eight-point, 50-42 win over Anna-Jonesboro.

Brooke Meylor had a game-high 23 points on a night where she shot 6-of-16 from the floor and knocked down 4-of-11 3-pointers, while going 7-for-8 from the foul line. She finished with four rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Karsyn Davis also finished in double figures, scoring 16 points. Summer Sanders finished with five points, while Essence Sanders tacked on three points and Madeline Rider tossed in a free throw.

<b>Benton 40, Gallatin County 29</b>

The Benton girls' basketball team had balanced scoring in Monday night's 40-29 win over Gallatin County at the Eldorado Lady Eagle Mid-Winter Classic.

Eubanks netted nine in the win for the Rangerettes, while Miller added eight points. Fowlkes scored six points in the win, while Wallace, Tedeschi and Jerkins all finished with four points. Milby tacked on three points, while Carlton tacked on two points.

Audrey Jackson had a game-high 17 points in the loss for Gallatin County, while Gracie Sauls and Mackenzie Russell finished with four points. Both Molly Newton and Hallie Zirkelback tossed in two points.
