Jackson leads Gallatin Co. past Galatia-Thompsonville

Audrey Jackson had a game-high 26 points for Gallatin County as the Hawks got by Galatia-Thompsonville 48-38 Monday night at Gallatin County High School.

Jackson was the only player to score in double figures for the Hawks, while Gracie Sauls added eight points. Makenzie Russell and Emma Brocket both scored six points and Molly Newton tacked on two points.

Kate Bond had a team-high 21 points for Galatia-Thompsonville, while Jocelyn Beers scored seven points. Bailey Crisp finished with four points, while Josie Martin, Ava Isaacs and Maddie McFarland all had two points for the Bearcats.

Gallatin County jumped out to a 12-2 lead and led 25-8 at halftime. In the third quarter, Galatia-Thompsonville outscored Gallatin County 13-10 and 17-13 in final eight minutes.

Gallatin County will be at Goreville Wednesday and will host Pope County Friday night in a doubleheader against the Pirates with the boys' team.
