Bulldogs end Ernie Bozarth Memorial with pair of losses

Another cold shooting night didn't help Harrisburg in a 63-32 loss to Sparta Friday night at the Ernie Bozarth Memorial Tournament at Murphysboro High School and the Bulldogs' Saturday matchup with Confluence JV was canceled due to a lack of players for Confluence and Harrisburg went 1-3 in tournament play.

Harrisburg, who trailed 14-11 after one quarter and 28-21 at halftime, were outscored 21-6 in the third quarter and 14-5 in the final eight minutes.

The Bulldogs got 14 points from Will Sanders, while Ben Brombaugh scored six points. Connor Phalin finished with four points, while Darion Barners and Will Gibbs both scored three points. Jesse Lawler tacked on two points in the loss.
