Bulldogs beat down West Frankfort to open up Harrisburg Invitational

Brooke Meylor netted a game-high 19 points on 7-of-15 shooting from the field and Lauren McDaniel tacked on 10 on 4-of-6 shooting from the field as Harrisburg cruised to a 55-32 win over West Frankfort Monday night in the Harrisburg Invitational at Davenport Gymnasium.

Essence Sanders added eight points for Harrisburg, while Madeline Rider scored seven points. Karsyn Davis chipped in with six points, while Ivy Brown finished with four points and Alli Ferrell had a free throw as the Bulldogs improve to 2-0.

Harrisburg shot 33 percent from the floor in the game, going 19-for-57 from the field and 28 percent from behind the arc, knocking down 6-of-21 3-pointers. At the foul line, Harrisburg was 11-of-24.

The Bulldogs grabbed 30 rebounds and came away with 11 steals, while committing just 10 turnovers.
