MJHS baseball team suffers second loss

HARRISBURG -- The Marion Junior High School baseball team suffered its second loss of the season Thursday as Harrisburg scored twice in the bottom of the seventh for an 8-7 walkoff win over the Wildcats.

MJHS dropped to 10-2 overall and 7-2 in the Big Seven Conference with the loss.

Marion had a 7-2 lead going into the bottom of the fifth inning after Justus Lee's two-out, two-run double in the top half followed RBI hits from Chase Niemeyer and Nehemiah Goodman.

Harrisburg scored three runs in the bottom half, added a single run in the sixth and then tied it and won it with consecutive hits from the bottom of the order in the seventh.

Evan Noelle had two of Marion's six hits. Brody Larson also had a hit for the Wildcats.
