For the second straight season, the Harrisburg High School softball team had a pair of repeat performers make Southern Illinois River-To-River Ohio All-Conference Team.

Making the list for the second time in as many years were juniors Karsyn Davis and Madeline Rider. Essence Sanders, a sophomore, made the Ohio Team for the first time.

Sanders was selected to the All-Tournament Team when the Bulldogs played at Barrington earlier in the year and led the team with a .470 batting average, which she improved on after hitting .408 as a freshman last year.

Sanders had 55 hits on the year and drove in 37 runs, finishing with 13 doubles, one triple and two home runs.

In the field, Sanders compiled a 20-13 record for Harrisburg in the circle and between pitching and playing third base, she committed one error in 37 games.

Davis had a .450 batting average this year and broke the school's RBI record which she set previously as she had 42 RBI this year. She also had 13 doubles, one triple and two home runs.

Rider, like Davis, set a school record as she broke McKenzie Sullivan's home run record with 11 bombs this year. In addition, Rider hit .425 with 54 hits, 51 runs scored and 41 RBI out of the lead off spot. Rider smacked nine doubles and three titles.

Davis and Rider will both be seniors on next year's clubs, but both have already verbally committed to Division 1 softball programs. Davis has verbally committed to Southeast Missouri State University, while Rider has verballed to Western Kentucky University.

Harrisburg finished the season 22-15 and was beat out of a regional title by West Frankfort.

Massac County had the most All-Conference sections with six as Taylor Jenkins, Payton Pierce, Ellie Weber, Addy Waldrop, Bailey Duckworth and Cali McCraw all made the list.

Herrin put five on the team, including Tori Schullian, Raegen Gosha, Madison Russell, Caitlin Kochan and Call Sutcliffe.

West Frankfort had five players as well, including Jenna Herron, Maddy Britton, Allie Herron, Noaah Tyson and Aurora Duncan.

Muprhysboro had four: Gaby Brown, Kelsey Stanton, Emily Roberts and Daisy Watkins and Benton rounded out the team with two players, Addisyn Miller and Kiley Carter.
